Set Free Ministries & Programs will provide a second chance for men struggling with life (drugs, alcohol, anger etc.) problems needing affordable, alcohol & drug-free help. This recovery program will provide a hand up not a hand-out. The residents will learn time and money management, be gainfully employed, attend church & 12-Step recovery meetings, facilitating re-entry into society. We will partner with other non-profit organizations, churches, donors and ministries to provide meals and donations to help with costs. Any revenue generated by this house goes into a prudent reserve to cover any empty beds, repairs, and any emergency needs that may arise.
The residents will be men with the desire to live in a safe environment with accountability and be willing to follow Set Free Ministries & Program’s Rules & Regulations. These men can be referred by probation officers, treatment centers, TN Department of Corrections, or other men in recovery. We will hand out brochures and network with court officials, outpatient treatment centers and counselors, as well as any other treatment centers that may have referrals. These men will be required to get sponsors, attend Church & 12-Step Recovery meetings and acquire/maintain employment.
Our unique value proposition is that men and the community as a whole will benefit from safe, affordable housing. We help men with their needs by providing emergency food, transportation to recovery meetings, classes, court dates, probation officers, etc. These men will benefit from learning how to live a Christ Centered life. They will also learn how to use resources and recovery support groups to maintain sobriety long-term and enjoy a joyful life with purpose and meaning. Men that stay at our recovery center will have the freedom to go to work, meetings and have visits with their families. They will make connections in the community that will be sources of support for the rest of their lives. They will be surrounded by other sober men and men in the church that have a heart for serving.
